


ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of Narek Hakobyan, a serviceman in the country's Armed Forces, without providing any details of the tragedy. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal case on charges of incitement to suicide.
"On April 14, serviceman Narek Arshakovich Hakobyan passed away. An investigation is underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. The Ministry of Defense expresses its condolences and support to the family, friends, and colleagues of the serviceman," wrote Aram Torosyan, press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, on his social media accounts. Meanwhile, the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia reported that on April 14, a criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Article 523 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (incitement of a serviceman to suicide).
"Forensic examinations have been ordered. A preliminary investigation is underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident," the agency stated.
It should be noted that on April 14, Armenian media reported that 19-year-old conscript Narek Hakobyan of the Armenian Armed Forces was wounded at the Ministry of Defense's training ground in Nubarashen and died en route to Muratsan Military Hospital.
