ArmInfo. Arkady Tamazyan, former head of the enlarged Alaverdi community in the Lori region, has joined Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia" party. He announced this on his Facebook page.
"Recognizing the challenges facing our country during this crucial and decisive period, I want to announce that I have joined the "Strong Armenia" party. This step of mine is driven by a sincere desire to serve exclusively the homeland and strengthen the foundations of our statehood," Tamazyan noted.
Speaking about the reasons for his choice, he noted that today the Armenian people find themselves in a situation where silence and indifference are tantamount to voluntary defeat and destruction. He expressed his conviction that today, the country's revival is only possible if the Armenian people unite around national values, primarily the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian army. "These are the foundations of the value system that has supported and continues to support us, and they must become the cornerstone of our strengthening.
Without spiritual values and a combat-ready army, we cannot have a dignified future.
Today, I have chosen the Strong Armenia party because it is led by the next Prime Minister, Samvel Karapetyan. A man whose activities, from building churches to large-scale economic projects, are aimed at only one goal - strengthening the homeland," noted the former head of the Alaverdi community.
Tamazyan emphasized that the Strong Armenia party is a union of pragmatic, active, and patriotic people, which he joins with great confidence. "We are fighting for our species, for our faith, and for the secure future of our children. Change is possible with Samvel Karapetyan; we will no longer be weak. With a united and firm will for a strong Armenia," the politician concluded.
As a reminder, on April 9, following its congress, the Strong Armenia party presented the approved list of the first 36 candidates for its electoral list for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia, scheduled for June 7, 2026. On March 31, the party announced it would participate in the elections as the "Strong Armenia with Samvel Karapetyan" bloc.
