ArmInfo. Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is a huge historic step forward, as stated by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, in Yerevan on April 10.
"As I have already said, this is a huge historic step forward, and this news between Armenia and Azerbaijan is real and permanent. As the Minister (Ararat Mirzoyan - ed.) said, it is impossible to resolve all issues immediately; it takes time, and sometimes there are very complex problems," the Estonian Foreign Minister said.
According to him, this is a significant progress for the Armenian people and the entire region, for the future of the Armenian people. "Peace is an essential condition for the prosperity of nations, economic development, and fundamental freedoms. This is a huge step forward that the Armenian government has taken," Tsahkna stated. He added that the process is lengthy and complex, but there is every reason to believe that it will reach the finish line and a just and lasting peace will be established.
