A 3.3-magnitude earthquake was registered 14 km west of the town of Stepanavan around 2:58 pm. The intensity in the epicenter was 4-5 points. The hypocenter was at the depth of 10 km.   

 Nagorno-Karabakh lieutenant colonel Garik Balayan was killed by Azeris at the southern section of the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azeri contact line on Sunday, reports the press service of Nagorno-Karabakh's Defense Army.

Converse Bank is the first and, so far, the only bank in Armenia to refund cash VAT to foreigners that made Tax Free purchases in Armenia. According to the bank, starting 17 May 2014, foreign citizens that have made purchases at the stores connected to the Tax Free system and paid VAT, can get cash VAT refund at Converse Bank. The cash VAT is returned to foreigners within 90 days after the purchase at the bank's  subsidiaries "Zvartnots" and "Shirak" located at the airports in Yerevan and Gyumri.

The Agreement on Eurasian Economic Union is to be signed on May 29 in Astana. According to Vladimir Putin, the procedure of Armenia’s accession to that union will be completed in the near future. Many think that Kyrgyzstan will also shortly join the Eurasian Economic Union. Can we expect this to happen on May 29, before the two countries join the Customs Union?

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has signed the law on making alterations to the mandatory pension system, president.am reported.
