Armenia's accession to the Customs Union may results in growing tariffs for the import of European energy equipment, Head of Development Department of Armenia's Energy and Natural Resources Ministry Hrachik Sokhunyan said at a roundtable discussion on Armenian-Russian cooperation in the framework of the Customs Union.

Ordinary Armenian citizens will shortly feel the fruits of the Russian President's Dec 2 visits to Armenia, Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov told journalists on Tuesday.

He said it is still early to speak about a single currency. "The first step is the Customs Union, the second - a single economic area where we shall be able to decrease barriers much", - he said.
