ArmInfo. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani refutes reports about the signing of a security agreement between Iran and Armenia.
As the Iran today TC reports , in response to a corresponding question, Nasser Kanaani said: "I do not have information about the signing of such an agreement." Relations between Iran and Armenia are constructive and based on mutual interests within the framework of strengthening the security and stability of the region."
Speaking about the so-called "Zangezur corridor", he emphasized that Iran's position on this issue is unchanged. "We have repeatedly expressed our position on this issue. This position has not changed and will not change," the Iranian diplomat emphasized.
Iran, in response to the attempts of the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem to gain by force an extraterritorial corridor through the territory of Armenia, has repeatedly stated that it will not tolerate attempts to obtain such a route by violating the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia and that the territorial integrity of the countries of the region is a "red line".
