ArmInfo. Today we prohibit the work of state institutions of Artsakh, and tomorrow we will disband Armenia "to prevent war," asked political scientist Beniamin Matevosyan, reacting to the statement of the Ambassador at Large of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Edmon Marukyan that "not a single institution of Artsakh will operate in the Republic of Armenia because it is a matter of national security."
"Nikol Pashinyan, through the mouth of Edmon Makuryan, informs Ilham Aliyev that he will not allow the functioning of the institutions of Artsakh statehood in Armenia. The "iron logic" of the authorities is such that the fact of the presence of institutions of Artsakh statehood in Armenia could provoke a new war with Azerbaijan. Marukyan and Pashinyan tell us that that Armenia itself should not give reasons for war.
The reality is that Azerbaijan can consider almost anything a "provocation" - army reform, the purchase of weapons, the country's presence of a working nuclear power plant, the absence of maps of "ancient Azerbaijan" in history textbooks, negotiations with the participation of France, the desire to increase the country's population to 5 million people, economic growth, etc.," the political scientist is convinced.
Matevosyan believes that public opinion is being manipulated again, since both Pashinyan and Marukyan know very well that Baku considers the very fact of the existence of Armenian statehood next door to the Azerbaijani state to be the main threat to Azerbaijan.
"Aliyev understands perfectly well that without Yerevan's military, political and economic assistance, Artsakh would not have been able to exist since 1994 and effectively fight Azerbaijani aggression.
That is why the final demand of Baku, the fulfillment of which "will not allow a new war," will be the requirement for Pashinyan to sign a document similar to what Samvel Shahramanyan signed on September 28 - a document on the dissolution of statehood.
I would also like to repeat almost verbatim what was published on the channel back in July of this year after a meeting with the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mrs. Nora Arisyan.
Taking into account, among other things, the experience of the SAR, as well as the experience of 1915, when a crime that was not completed allowed the Armenians to recreate statehood, and even create Artsakh statehood, Ankara and Baku today will do everything to complete the process the dissolution of the Armenian state by the hands of its own leadership to the end," the political scientist concluded.
