ArmInfo. Azerbaijan has started a new phase of forced absorption of Artsakh. Today it became known that Baku has sent "humanitarian aid" to Nagorno Karabakh, which is besieged by itself.
Thus, the chairman of the Red Crescent Society, MP Novruz Aslan, said that two vehicles had been sent from Baku. According to him, the convoy with "humanitarian cargo" will move along the road through Akna (Agdam). "At the initial stage, it is planned to deliver 40 tons of flour products. Of course, accessories, tents, and technical means for the activities of our employees are also provided. We will closely monitor the processes that take place there. I believe that this step will be positively received both by the public, the international community and the Armenian population living there," Aslan said.
Of course, he did not specify what would be the point of sending aid to Artsakh, which was besieged by Azerbaijan itself. Just as he did not explain why 20 Armenian trucks with humanitarian cargo for the population of besieged Artsakh have been idle in Kornidzor for the second month, unable to pass through the internationally recognized corridor to Nagorno-Karabakh due to the actions of the Azerbaijani authorities. Why the Azerbaijani authorities do not fulfill their obligations and impede the free movement of the corridor. It is obvious that the use of the road from Azerbaijan will be the last nail "in the coffin of Artsakh" and will be the last stage in the absorption of the NKR.
Against the backdrop of the abduction of three citizens of Artsakh by the Azerbaijanis from the illegal checkpoint in the Kashatagh corridor, a wave of protest was raised in the NKR. People began to gather on Renaissance Square in Stepanakert and demand clarifications from the authorities. Against this background, the NKR President will conduct a meeting of the Security Council. Late in the evening, a session of the Artsakh Parliament was also convened. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan stated that after more than 6 hours of sitting in the National Assembly, it was not possible to come to a unified decision, but "the problem of bread will be resolved within a few days."
We also add that statements about the possibility of using the Akna road were followed by the installation of concrete barriers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
