ArmInfo. The ruling "Civil Contract" faction of the RA National Assembly intends to dismiss Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, Taguhi Tovmasyan. The draft decision of the National Assembly is presented on the website of the National Assembly.
It is noted that the initiative to dismiss the opposition MP was made by head of the "Civil Contract" faction Hayk Konjoryan and secretary of the faction Artur Hovhannisyan.
The general reporter on the submitted draft decision will be MP from the ruling faction Hovik Aghazaryan. On April 20, Tovmasyan, who is a member of the National Assembly from the "I have the honor" faction, held a protest action in parliament against the speeches of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. She stated that she would not leave the rostrum of the National Assembly so that "no lies" would be heard in Parliament. She and several of her teammates were forcibly taken out of the meeting room.
After a sensational incident, Aghazaryan announced from the rostrum that he was starting the process of removing Tovmasyan from office. Meanwhile, Tovmasyan herself believes that the process launched against her is political pressure.
