ArmInfo.A high-ranking Russian delegation, who arrived in Yerevan to participate in the Armenian-Russian scientific and educational forum "Integration of science, education and production - the driver of economic modernization", visited the memorial complex of the victims of the Armenian Genocide "Tsitsernakaberd" and laid flowers at the eternal fire.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, the delegation includes Special Representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, Head of the Russian Presidential Administration for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Igor Maslov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky and others.
As ArmInfo reported earlier, a two-day scientific and educational forum "Integration of science, education and production - a driver of economic modernization" starts in Yerevan today. The event will be held at Yerevan State University with the participation of about 200 delegates.
The opening ceremony will be attended by RA Vice Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, RA Minister of Education and Culture Zhanna Andreasyan, RF Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, RF Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Konstantin Mogilevsky, RA National Academy of Sciences President Ashot Sagyan, YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Rector of Lomonosov State University Viktor Sadovnichy, representatives of universities and scientific organizations of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, management and business.
The Armenian-Russian Scientific and Educational Forum is the first bilateral event in the format of participation of representatives of leading universities and scientific institutions of both countries. The conference is designed to promote the development and strengthening of scientific and educational ties between the universities of the two countries.
The Armenian-Russian forum is part of the events planned by the Union of Rectors of Russia aimed at developing international cooperation in the field of education and science. Since 2000, under the auspices of the Union of Rectors of Russia, more than 80 conferences have been held with the participation of more than 6,000 rectors of Russian and foreign universities. As part of the conference, the guests will visit the Museum of Russian Art (collection of Professor A. Abrahamyan).
