ArmInfo. Press Secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia Mane Gevorgyan has been dismissed. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan signed the corresponding decision on November 9.
As Gevorgyan said on her Facebook page, she was dismissed from the post on her own application. She thanked the Prime Minister and the government apparatus for their joint work. "The period of my duties as press secretary of the Prime Minister was full of difficulties that fell to the lot of Armenia. In spite of everything, I tried to remain true to the values that formed the basis of the 2018 revolution. I also thank the journalists for the fruitful cooperation, "she wrote.
Mane Gevorgyan was appointed Press Secretary of the Prime Minister on March 2, 2020. The post remained vacant since January 9 of this year - after Vladimir Karapetyan was dismissed from this post. She graduated from the Political Science Department of the Faculty of International Relations of YSU. She also studied at the Fletcher School of Diplomacy and Law at Tufts University. Prior to her appointment, Gevorgyan worked at the Center for Research and Education in Agribusiness (ICARE), researcher (2008 - 2009), Assistant to the Deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs Vardan Osknyan (2012-2016), in 2009 - 2017. - General Producer of the "CivilNet" online TV company, "Civilitas" Foundation, in 2017-2020. - Coordinator for relations with international media of the humanitarian initiative "Aurora", IDeA Foundation.
