ArmInfo. Work to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict continues, despite a new type of coronavirus. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, announced this on April 17 during a weekly briefing.
Recalling that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had previously held telephone conversations with Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts Elmar Mammadyarov and Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Zakharova presented details of the talks.
"The issues related to the settlement were also considered. Regular contacts with the parties are maintained by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, France and the USA), as well as Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk. The topic of coronavirus infection is in the focus of ongoing consultations and its impact on the negotiation process, as well as some issues of the Karabakh settlement, "the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized, adding that the situation on the border and the Lin eof Contact is being discussed.
