Negotiations on the tariff for Russian gas imported to Armenia are continuing in all directions, acting Deputy General Director of Gazprom Armenia for commerce and external relations Vakhtang Mirumyan said in an interview with journalists, however, refusing to disclose any details before their completion.
Currently, the Government of Armenia and Gazprom are negotiating to determine the price of gas for Armenia in the long term, since the current price of $ 165 was determined as an interim solution until the final agreement between the countries. Mirumyan, however, reported that negotiations are under way with both the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) and energy companies.
According to him, the negotiations will last about 2 months. However, he did not rule out the possibility of extending the period of negotiations.
To note, at the end of December 2018, Russia raised the price for gas for Armenia from $ 150 per 1000 kBm to $ 165. However, the price of gas for Armenian consumers remains unchanged.
