ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on January 17 at a government meeting told how the government will be formed taking into account the new structure. The Armenian government submitted a bill on changing the structure of the government to parliament's approval, according to which it is planned to reduce the number of ministries from 17 to 12.
"By law, a government is considered formed if 2/3 of its members are appointed, we will go this way and appoint only 2/3 of its members, since we have not yet specified all the details and issues related to the the restructuring of the government, " Pashinyan said.
He noted that the number of ministries will be reduced and stressed that this process should be carried out as far as possible without shocks, quietly and predictably. "That is why we will follow the abovementioned plan," Pashinyan said.
At the moment, the president appointed only the prime minister and two deputy prime ministers among the members of the government.
