ArmInfo. It is obvious that there is a dialogue between Yerevan and Baku, and it is being conducted. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at the weekly briefing, commenting on the joint statement of the foreign ministers of the two countries on the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting and the meeting of Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev at the CIS summit.
"There is a dialogue, there is no need for an official statement here," stated Zakharova. According to her, Russia, based on the role of the co-chair, will actively promote positive and positive dynamics aimed at achieving the main goal.
Answering the question of what is meant by the call to prepare the population of the two countries for peace, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that this is a whole set of concrete steps that need to be worked out; the parties and co-chairs of the OSCE MG should deal with this.
Speaking about whether the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement will be discussed during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Baku, Maria Zakharova stressed that conflict resolution is always one of the central themes in the course of contacts and visits of the Russian minister in the region. "Both in Yerevan and in Baku are always discussed. This is the main subject. Russia is the co-chair of the relevant process:, said Maria Zakharova.
