ArmInfo. The Heritage Party qualifies the recent parliamentary elections in Armenia as free, fair and transparent. This is stated in the statement of the party received by ArmInfo.
At the same time, the party calls on law enforcement officers to be consistent in disclosing those rare violations of the law that took place during the elections. The party stresses that now a new reality has been established in Armenia - there is a legitimate parliament, and for its part, it promises to provide every assistance in strengthening Armenian statehood, and confronting external and internal challenges.
The Armenian Democratic Party also believes that the elections were much more liberal. Nevertheless, the party believes that after constitutional reforms and reforms of the electoral legislation, new elections should be held to ensure ideological competition. "Providing 70% of the vote was the result of hatred towards the former authorities, because people wanted to get rid of the old one. On the other hand, about 900 thousand citizens did not come to the polling stations, and it is necessary to find out who they are, why they did not go to vote. After all, they could change election results, "- said the head of the Democratic Party.
The Sasna Tsrer party, which also stands for new parliamentary elections 2 years after certain legislative and constitutional reforms, also adheres to a similar position. Speaking about the failure of the party in the parliamentary elections, its representative Stepan Grigoryan explained this with the position of a political force on the Karabakh issue. According to him, the Sasna Tsrer party is the only political force that, during the period of election campaigning, expressed positions different from those laid down in the Madrid principles. He also stated that unprecedented anti-agitation was being waged against the party. Speaking about the future parliament, he stressed that there would be no real opposition in it. According to him, the Prosperous Armenia and Light Armenia parties are only formally opposition. "It is clear that from an ideological point of view there will be no counterbalance to the parliamentary majority," he noted. Socio-political organizations of Javakhk also made a statement, welcoming the elections held in Armenia, arguing that a legitimate government appeared in the country, capable of ensuring its development and consolidating the people. At the same time, the authors of the statement express the hope that the problems of Javakhk will be in the center of attention of the new authorities of Armenia.
