ArmInfo. Servicemen of the armed forces of Armenia, including soldiers - conscripts, are free in their choice during the voting on the upcoming parliamentary elections on December 9, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote about it on his Facebook page.
"The servicemen of the Armed Forces of Armenia, including soldiers-conscripts, are given the opportunity of free choice. Taking into account the locations of military units, they will vote in the polling stations located near the unit," Hovhannisyan wrote, adding that the statements that the military will be instructed to vote for this or that candidate are offensive, as the soldiers - conscripts of the RA Armed Forces have a mature conscience and independence, which has been proven in recent years in a series of extreme situations.
To note, today publications were spread in a number of Armenian media about forcing servicemen to vote for the "My Step" bloc, headed by Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
