ArmInfo.Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will be in Kazakhstan on a working visit from November 8 to 9.
According to the press service of Prime Minister of Armenia, Pashinyan will take part in the Astana meeting of the CSTO Council. During the visit, the Acting Prime Minister will also meet with the local Armenian community.
To note in the course of the meeting the candidacy of the new Secretary General of the organization will also be discussed. According to the widely spread rumors, the presidency of the CSTO may be come over to Belarus, the organization will be headed by Security Council Secretary of State Stanislav Zas. Minsk has not yet commented on this information.
However, Yesterday RA Defense Minister David Tonoyan stated that it is a matter of principle for him to keep the CSTO Secretary General's office in Armenia. In this regard, the name of former Minister of Defense of Armenia Vagarshak Harutyunyan is also being discussed for this post. However, Yerevan has not yet commented on the information either. -
