ArmInfo.Armenia is entering the pre-election stage, which the government of the republic should use effectively in order to successfully overcome all existing challenges. This was announced by the acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the meeting of the executive body on October 18.
According to him, during this period, the state administration system in no case should be involved in election processes. "It is a very good period for a government job in a relaxed environment. I hope that the government and our government system, especially the part, which is not politicized and should not be politicized, will use this situation in a constructive environment for effective work, "Nikol Pashinyan continued.
He also focused on the development of a new Tax Code, calling on the relevant structures to cooperate with the business so that the new document is acceptable to all and understandable to all.
To note, on October 16, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian accepted the resignation of the government headed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Making a statement on the Public TV channel, the head of the Armenian government noted that immediately after his resignation, the president of the country immediately accepts the resignation of the entire government. If, within 14 days, the country's parliament does not twice elect the head of government, the country's National Assembly will be dissolved, and the president will set a date for the new parliamentary elections. Throughout this period, members of the government will continue to fulfill their duties.
To note, it was originally planned to hold early parliamentary elections in May 2019, but after the elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders, in which the "My Step" bloc, supported by Nikol Pashinyan, received over 80% of Yerevan's votes, the new authorities of the country, proceeding from the logic of "strike" iron, while hot ", decided to force the holding of early parliamentary elections.
