ArmInfo. The official investigation into the nephew of the former head of the Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan, a member of the Yerevan Criminal Investigation Department, is temporarily suspended. The head of the Armenian Police Valery Osipyan told journalists on July 26.
According to him, in connection with the fact that the materials of the case on the beating of a 13-year-old girl and her father were sent to the Special Investigation Service, the official investigation itself was temporarily suspended.
On July 9, the network reported that Vladimir Gasparyan's brother Karen Gasparyan, his wife and daughter intimidated a 13-year-old girl, a resident of Kotayk, for trying to pour Gasparyan's car on the day of the Vardavar holiday. According to the information, Gaparyan stopped the car, approached the girl, grabbed her hair and tried to lower her head into the nearby ditch. The father, who came to help the girl, was taken away by Gasparyans in an unknown direction, beaten with an electric shock. He was also humiliated, forcing him to ask for forgiveness from the Gasparyans. "He said: I enjoy when one kneels before me, and I also enjoy killing a person. Forced for the sake of the child, I knelt down to let go. And after that, after I got on my knees, I was hit again. Intimidating that they will destroy the family, they will blow up the house if I go to any step: I was beaten by Karen Gasparyan's son, and Karen Gasparyan himself threatened me," Sargsyan said, after the incident he was in the hospital with concussion.
Already on July 10, Valery Osipyan assured that today in Armenia a completely different situation, and kinship with officials and ex-officials does not absolve anyone from responsibility if they committed a crime. At the same time, Osipyan noted that Vladimir Gasparyan is unlikely to try to intervene in the investigation.
