ArmInfo. Chief of the General Staff of Armenia's Armed Forces Artak Davtyan is assured that there is no direct threat of war at the moment.
''There is no direct threat of war. However, as we have repeatedly stated - threat always exists. And taking this into account our Armed Forces are ready for the beginning of hostilities at any moment. We must be prepared for any development of the situation'', Davtyan told journalists today commenting on the possibility of resumption of war.
At the same time, he stressed that all actions of the Armenian side are aimed at preventing the resumption of hostilities.
Touching upon the actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Nakhchivan direction, Davtyan stressed that the situation is under controll, and there is no cause for concern.
Speaking about the large-scale exercises that started today in Azerbaijan, the Chief of the General Staff assured that there is nothing extraordinary about it. "We are prepared for any developments in the situation, we conduct ordinary tactical measures, we will conduct exercises, according to our plan, then they will watch us," he concluded.
