ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will visit Brussels on June 11-12. The press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan stated this at a briefing in Yerevan on July 2.
Answering the question whether Armenia will take part in the NATO summit, in particular, Balayan said: "Armenia does not participate in the NATO summit itself, and the meeting of the heads of the countries of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF), now called NATO mission "Strong support." Armenia is invited to participate in this format as a participant in the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, I would also like to say that Armenia has even greater representation in Afghanistan than many of the founding countries of NATO. "
According to him, this is why Armenia is invited to participate in this summit. He also stressed that additional information on the participation of the prime minister or non-participation in this event will be given after.
Earlier, Pashinyan himself said that he intended to visit Brussels. "In the near future my visit to Brussels is being prepared, where I will meet with high-ranking representatives of the European Union," he said.
