ArmInfo.The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova is convinced that the creation of a favorable atmosphere not only promotes the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, but also is the most important pledge for its resolution.

So, during a traditional briefing on June 15, Zakharova, at a  journalist's request, expresses his position whether yesterday's  acquaintance of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with  Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Moscow on the initiative of  Russian leader Vladimir Putin could become a kind of push for  activation of the negotiation process on the Karabakh conflict  settlement within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, in  particular, stated: "Well, it seems to me, there is no need to  confuse formats - there is communication between the heads of state,  which presumes both bilateral, so there is a problem that has its own  format of solution, of course, the creation of a favorable atmosphere  not only promotes the negotiation process, and not only contributes  but is also an important guarantee for solving this problem.  say  that these are different formats."

When asked to comment on the date of a possible meeting of the  foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, especially considering  that the forthcoming meeting is being announced in the statement of  the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, which was circulated the day before,  Zakharova advised to apply for comments to the foreign affairs  agencies of Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting that this is within their  competence.
