ArmInfo. In Armenia, there is a situation where there is no functional opposition in the country, and the majority of representatives of civil society are involved in the system of power. This was stated by the deputy, the head of the party "Enlightened Armenia" Edmond Marukyan on June 14 in Yerevan at the conference "The future of the Eastern Partnership in the period of unrest".
"I, as a representative of pro-governmental power, urge my colleagues from civil society to carry out their mission and not get involved in the power system. Only in this case we can create a state based on the rule of law, since civil society controls all these processes," said Marukyan.
According to the deputy, it is civil society that is a sobering factor for all, especially in the process of implementing post-revolutionary reforms, since after the revolution it is very important to leave room for criticism, and the criticism of the RPA as an opposition can not be objectively perceived as a negative attitude of society towards the representatives of this party. "Elections are planned in Armenia, during which civil society must uphold the values for which we fought," the deputy concluded.
