ArmInfo.On May 17, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Yuri Khachaturov.
According to the press service of the MFA, Mnatsakanyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to effective cooperation within the framework of the CSTO, which is an important component of its security, and will continue its consistent efforts to strengthen the alliance partnership between the members of the organization. In his turn, Yuri Khachaturov noted that he is taking steps to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation within the CSTO as general secretary.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the implementation of the decisions of the Collective Security Council in Minsk and other issues on the organization's agenda.
The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization presented Minister Mnatsakanyan the activities of the organization, preparing for the forthcoming meetings of the CSTO statutory bodies in Astana.
