According to him, the situation in the country has changed. "We have repeatedly said that for us the interests of the state are above all, we cannot lead the country to upheavals," he said.
It is not clear yet what caused the RPA's to refuse its initial decision.
The decision was made after today's meeting of Republicans with the leader of the party Serzh Sargsyan.
Earlier it was reported that the RPA is considering the option of supporting the candidacy of the leader of the Tsaroukyan bloc Gagik Tsaroukyan. He will make a statement today.
