ArmInfo. The Republican Party will announce its decision on the elections for the post of Prime Minister of the country on April 30 at 18:00. Vice Speaker of the Parliament, RPA press secretary Eduard Sharmazanov told ArmInfo about this.
He assured that in his decision the RPA will proceed from considerations of security and stability of the country. "In its approach, the RPA will be united," the vice-speaker assured. Answering the question whether it is possible that the RPA will support the nomination of the opposition leader, MP Nikol Pashinyan at the prime minister's election, Sharmazanov conveyed his personal opinion: "It seems to me that Pashinyan does not have the qualities necessary for the country's Prime Minister."
Meanwhile, according to ArmInfo sources in the RPA, the party intends to nominate Karen Karapetyan to the premiere. If the situation becomes heated, the RPA considers the possibility of supporting the candidacy of Gagik Tsaroukyan as a compromise option.
