ArmInfo. The National Security Service of Armenia has uncovered and prevented the attempt of cyberattacks against a number of state administration bodies.
According to the SNB, letters with harmful programs providing secret copying of information and transfer to registered IP-servers in Australia were sent to the electronic addresses of various state agencies of Armenia from the registered IP addresses in the Netherlands.
In connection with the criminal case investigated by the above-mentioned fact, the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia, in accordance with the indications of part 1 of Article 256 of the RA Criminal Code ("Development, use and distribution of malicious programs"), applications for legal aid were submitted, investigative actions with the involvement of special services and competent authorities of foreign states in order to identify persons who were engaged in the development and use of the above programs and the establishment of whereabouts of these individuals.
