ArmInfo.. The deputy of the National Assembly, Nikol Pashinyan, who these days holds mass protests against the authorities, in fact, failed his initial agenda on preventing Serzh Sargsyan's election as the premier of Armenia, the vice-speaker of the parliament, the press secretary of the ruling Republican Party, stated in a conversation with ArmInfo correspondent party Eduard Sharmazanov.
"Initially, he held rallies to prevent Serzh Sargsyan's election as prime minister, promised on the voting day to block all approaches to the National Assembly in order to fail the meeting. As we already noted yesterday, the approaches to the National Assembly were free, we came to work unhindered, the voting took place, Sargsyan was elected, Pashinyan and his supporters marched in other parts of the city at that time, and did not come to the building of the National Assembly, as they had intended earlier, "Sharmazanov said, wondering what Pashinyan's goal pursues by conducting protest actions now.
"To be honest, I do not understand his today's agenda: what is the purpose of the current protest actions, what does he want." Authorities in Armenia have already been formed, and no rallies can be changed by any rallies, "the vice-speaker assured.
