ArmInfo. The deputy from the opposition bloc "Elk" Artak Zeynalyan demanded from the third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to refuse from the state dacha.
As Zeynalyan noted, this decision of the government was, of course, agreed with Serzh Sargsyan in advance or was taken directly at his suggestion. "Such behavior on the part of Serzh Sargsyan is a manifestation of extreme egoism, because the state dachas located in the picturesque gorge of Yerevan are a national property, since the Soviet times there lived the leaders of the republic, but after retiring they all changed their place of residence. This is the only case when the government dacha is transferred to the property of the former president, it is necessary to stop the implementation of this decision. I urge Serzh Sargsyan to refuse from the dacha until the time has come when he will be forced to leave it," Zeynalyan said.
The "state dachas", located in the center of Yerevan in the protected area of the Hrazdan gorge, were built in Soviet times. The leaders of the republic usually lived there, but after the resignation they all moved from there. And only for Serzh Sargsyan was an exception. By the decision of the government, the dacha, where Sargsyan lived with his family during the presidency, was transferred to him.
