In the city of Kemerovo, on March 25, as a result of a fire in the "Winter Cherry" shopping center, according to confirmed data, 48 people died, but the number of deaths may grow, another 50 people are among the victims, some of them are in serious condition. Among the dead - at least nine children. Another 27 people from the shopping center are currently missing. The tragedy in the Kemerovo shopping center has become one of the most serious fires in recent years in Russia. At the moment, the Investigative Committee is considering three versions of the accident - the cause of the fire could be a malfunction of wiring, arson in the children's center or accidental ignition from candles that were lit on a children's holiday. Families of the victims will receive 1 million rubles compensation.
