ArmInfo. Director of the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Central Asia, member of the State Duma of the V convocation, Colonel Semyon Baghdasarov advises the Armenian side to learn the experience of the Kurds of Afrina in the Karabakh war.
So, Baghdasarov, on February 14, during a video bridge, to ArmInfo's request to comment on the latest forecast of the US National Intelligence Agency about the possible start of new military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh in 2018, in particular, stated: "In Nagorno-Karabakh we need to carefully study the experience of military operations in the Middle East. Yes, it's great that in Karabakh and Donbass use classical methods of warfare, but why not study the Middle East methods, for example, military tunnels that allow you to enter the enemy's rear, which has, for example, a numerical and technical advantage. A vivid example is the events in Afrin, where Kurdish commanders beat the Turkish regular army. Take the same mobile anti-tank systems.
" At the same time, the expert called for not paying attention to the forecasts of the US National Intelligence, and stressed that a country that has an unresolved conflict should always prepare for war. At the same time he advised to invite several Kurdish commanders from Afrin to Stepanakert to drink coffee. "And they will share their experience of fighting with a cup of coffee," concluded Baghdasarov.
