ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian held talks with the delegation of the Swiss Parliament headed by the Chairman of the National Council Dominique de Buman.
As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, Nalbandian expressed his gratitude to Buman for his consistent contribution to the strengthening of the Armenian-Swiss relations. De Buman noted that this is his fifth visit to Armenia, and it is nice to see the progress in the friendly country. At the same time, he stated that his visit to Armenia is a clear indication of Switzerland's desire to strengthen and develop relations with the Armenian side.
At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, touched on the expansion of trade and economic contacts, and increased effectiveness of interaction at international venues. The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the level of interparliamentary cooperation, qualifying it as effective. Nalbandian and de Buman touched upon preparations for the forthcoming Francophonie summit in Yerevan this October.
The head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry presented the Swiss delegation the latest developments in the Karabakh conflict, as well as the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on an exclusively peaceful settlement of the problem.
