ArmInfo. Serious work towards establishing a bridge between Jerusalem and Tehran will bring dividends to Yerevan. Such an opinion ArmInfo was expressed by the Israeli publicist, public figure, political scientist Avigdor Eskin.
"Armenia is unique, has a unique culture, history, and Armenia, unlike many other countries, does not belong to the Shiite world, the Persian imperial area, and Iran has been able to establish excellent relations with Tehran, and these relations do not even have to be compared with relations Tehran from Baku and this despite the fact that the initial data in relations with Iran were not in favor of Armenia, "the political scientist said.
According to his estimates, thanks to the adjusted policy towards the southern neighbor, Armenia managed to demonstrate to Iran the correspondence of its strategic interests to the strengthening of relations with Yerevan. Considering Yerevan's interest in expanding international contacts, Eskin does not exclude the possibility of establishing Israeli-Iranian relations with the help of Armenia and, possibly, Russia.
Among the common interests of Israel and Iran, the political scientist calls the preservation of power in Syria Bashar Assad. According to his forecasts, the coming to power in Syria of the representatives of the Islamist movement does not correspond to the interests of Jerusalem.
And in the absence of territorial conflicts between Israel and Iran, ideological problems, according to his estimates, can be completely overcome. At the same time, according to Eskin estimates, Tehran's steps towards Jerusalem can mitigate the tone of the US administration and the policy towards Iran in general. In turn, Armenia's rapprochement with Israel will, according to his estimates, provide Armenians with the possibility of using the experience of reintegration of compatriots from the countries of the diaspora by the Israeli experience. According to his forecasts, in the long term this will allow increasing the population of Armenia to 10 million.
"You do not need to invent anything new, your skills in science, in art, in a whole range of other spheres of public life say this, but Israel's experience in building a strong state can prove to be very useful for Armenia," the Israeli political scientist summed up.
