ArmInfo. The delegation headed by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Babloyan during his official visit to Poland on October 19 met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Minister of Culture and National Heritage Piotr Glinski.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian parliament, Ara Babloyan noted that the Armenian community of Poland has been involved in various spheres of public life from time immemorial times. He stressed the positive attitude of the country's authorities towards the Armenian community in Poland.
According to Babloyan, the Armenian-Polish cooperation in the sphere of culture, science and education is at a high level. During 2017, a number of cultural events have been planned and implemented for the Armenian community, (the 650th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian community in Poland, ed.), which is a clear testament to the Armenian-Polish friendly relations.
In the context of the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, the Chairman of the Armenian Parliament noted the importance of the activity of the Armenian-Polish interparliamentary commission. Vice Premier Piotr Glinski noted that the Poles have a "particularly emphasized" attitude towards Armenians, which is due to the great positive contribution of the Armenian Diaspora in Poland. He particularly noted the effective cooperation in the field of culture. He assured that the Polish is open for further cooperation.
