ArmInfo.Political consultations took place in Armenian MFA between foreign political departments of Armenia and China.
According to Armenian MFA, from the Armenian side, consultations were held by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Armen Papikyan, and with the Chinese side - Assistant Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China Li Huilai. During the consultations, a wide range of issues were discussed, including those related to the political dialogue between the two countries, the organization of high-level visits, cooperation within the framework of international organizations, trade-economic, cultural and scientific-educational relations, the activation of tourist flows, the expansion of the legal framework and Cooperation in the consular field. The parties expressed their satisfaction with the dynamically developing relations and notable achievements in the recent period. The Armenian side expressed gratitude for the technical and economic assistance provided to Armenia from China. Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan presented the Armenian position on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In turn, Li Huilai reaffirmed the principled position of the PRC that the Nagorno-Karabakh problem should be resolved exclusively by peaceful negotiation. Armenian and Chinese diplomats exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
