ArmInfo.The Third Forum of Armenian Political Parties to be held in Artsakh capital Stepanakert on 16-18 June, during which the economic, political tactical questions concerning to both Armenian states and also internal and foreign policy and issues of security are to be discussed. This was stated at a press conference by the deputy chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, head of the parliamentary commission on foreign affairs Armen Ashotyan.
He noted that 15 Parties are to attend the Forum from Armenia and 6 Parties Parties from Artsakh. Initially, 17 Armenian parties were invited, but one - the "Armenian Revival" did not confirm participation, and the other - the "Armenian National Congress" refused. Only the "Revival" party refused to participate in the forum from the Artsakh parties, as it has its own vision of the solution of the Karabakh conflict.
As for the "Yerkir cirani" party headed by Zaruhi Postanjyan, Ashotyan admitted that she did not receive the invitation, because of what is "newly created". Also, the Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian bloc is not invited to the forum, since it has not yet consolidated into a single party.
The experts of the "Analytical Council", newly formed under the commission of the National Assembly of Armenia on external issues, will also attend the forum's work. According to ArmInfo, there will also be guests from abroad. The event will start with a message from Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, then Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan and Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Babloyan.
Ashotyan also noted that there is a need for such events in Armenia and Artsakh, as during the forum it is possible to consolidate and seriously discuss important issues and issues that concern the two Armenian states. In addition, for Artsakh such events are also of tactical importance, since they increase the international recognition of the republic.
