ArmInfo. The situation in Tsaroukyan bloc gets tensed. Rating based candidates who won the elections are not intended to give up their mandates, as it was planned by Tsaroukyan.
According to the information shared with ArmInfo by candidates whose names appeared in mandates given up law makers lists, they did not sign any documents regarding self rejection, and they knew about it only upon the appropriate information of Central Electoral Committee. "There was no any conversation with bloc leader Gagik Tsaroukyan, as well as there was no any expression of him being not satisfied with us, that is why whole the situation is quite a surprise for us." "rejected" candidates stated.
However, they are not intended to give up. Some of them decided to appeal to the court for the solution of the problem, trying to prove that they have not signed any self-rejection applications. Others decided to meet Tsaroukyan and to solve the problem immediately. According to the sources inside the bloc, Tsaroukyan did not refuse to meet everybody, moreover, he was very "friendly". Some candidates tok the legal path and decided to submit applications to the CEC demanding to cancel previous documents stating their self rejection.
For instance, such an application has been submitted today by candidate Khachik Manoukyan, who won the based on rating system in Aragatsotn. According to the information shared by Manoukyan during his conversation with ArmnInfo reporter, in his statement he particularly wrote that he asks to cancel the document stating his self rejection and submitted to CEC earlier. Few days ago Manoukyan, as well as other candidates of the bloc, told ArmInfo that they have not written any self-rejection statements, and they do not know how it turned their signatures appeared in those documents.
Tigran Mukuchya, the Head of Central Electoral Committee, refused to comment on the situation mentioned to ArmInfo reporter, adding that he will make appropriate statement just and only after today's session of CEC, which will review candidates applications and approve the final staff of new Parliament.
