ArmInfo. Armenian Constitutional Court rejected ANK bloc's claim on declaring invalid the results of parliamentary elections conducted on April 2.
By that, CC upheld the decision of Armenian Central Electoral Committee on declaring the elections succeeded. As Gagik Harutyunyan, CC chairman stated, declaring sentence, parliamentary elections were organized well, expressed the will of voters, providing freedom principle during the elections. According to confirmation of CC chairman, during the passed election the incidents of multi voting for the same person were excluded, transparency was provided, and the implementation of new technologies allowed minimizing omissions. At that, he also accentuated the attention to the negative phenomena, which were observed by international observers. Nevertheless, he stressed that facts presented by the claimers on violations are unconvincing and mainly taken from media.
According to the Constitution, CC decision is final and comes into force from the declaring moment.
To note, during the proclamation of the sentence claimers' representatives were at the hall. The responding side was presented by Armenian CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan, CEC secretary Armen Smbatyan.
