ArmInfo. All works on Lake Ghosh in the Tavush region of Armenia are suspended. On April 22 at the hearings on the situation around the lake, which is part of the National Park "Dilijan", said the Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan.
According to him, the program of the company "Rendor" on the improvement of the National Park "Dilijan" will be carefully studied and revised. Moreover, she did not pass the ecological examination. All illegal structures that have already been rebuilt will be dismantled and moved outside the park. Moreover, this will be done by efforts of both the park itself and the company by the developer. Persons responsible for violation of environmental legislation will be brought to administrative responsibility. At present, the minister continued, the damage caused to nature is assessed. As Artsvik Minasyan stressed, the facts of vandalism, which are noted in other regions of the country, must be stopped.
At the same time, the minister pointed to the need for large-scale environmental reforms. According to him, 5-6 people cannot control the territory of 500-600 hectares. Technical means are needed here. It is also important to expand the powers of the inspection body. Currently, this kind of body only fixes violations, without any grounds for their prevention. The newly created inspection body will have to include professionals technically well equipped, with broad powers. "You can not receive income at any cost," Minasyan said.
To note, in the territory of the National Park "Dilijan" was previously implemented heavy equipment, and the road leading to the lake, expanded. Thanks to the administration of the National Park "Dilijan" and environmental activists, the actions of the company "Rendor" were suspended. According to the contract concluded with the company "Rendor", a person who has the right to build, is obliged to improve the territory, clean it of debris and dry branches, not to disturb the ecosystem of the lake and the endemic status.
Earlier, the minister assured the journalists that there was no question of constructing any objects on the lake. Moreover, the option of building a kind of entertainment institution that can damage the environment is excluded.
