Nature Protection Ministry  fetched out illegal cut of trees in  Dilijan`s national park

ArmInfo. Armenian Nature Protection Ministry, found 171 illegally cut trees (43 beeches,  31hornbeams , 11oaks , 2 maples and 1ash tree) as a result of  additional checking in the 6th district  of Haghartsin, Dilijan's  national park and Idjevan's regional forestry.

As the department's press-service informed ArmInfo, 125.38 kW meters  of illegally cut wood were found by  the policemen, working together  with Nature Protection Ministry workers ,Arman Vermishyan ,Caucasus  Nature Fund representative in Armenia,and the damage was estimated 17  365 790 AMD.  In the fifth district of the same national park  policemen and Ministry workers found 81 illegally cut trees  (72beeches, 9 hornbeams, 9 oaks), the damage was of 13 998 450 AMD.

"The documents on incident, prepared by the Ministry workers, were  directed to law-enforcement bodies", Nature Protection Ministry's  report reads.  Armenia has gone through the biggest forest cut twice:  in 30-50s for industrial purposes and in 1992-95 related to the  energetic crisis. The attention to sociability and illegal cut of the  trees is increasing recently thanks to which the incidents, received  resonance, reach the law-enforcement officials.
