ArmInfo. Central Electoral Committee rejected ANC-PPA bloc results invalidation request in respect to April 2 conducted parliamentary elections.
As Tigran Mukuchyan, the CEC head stated, the bloc presented only 13% violation notes at polling stations. "In some cases the bloc presented numbers of polling stations, where the violations supposedly were done. Besides, dozens of data are being repeated, stating mostly not violations, but the absence of those. The application has no legal basis, he stated, noting that the document comprises 121 pages and has 21 parts".
Earlier the bloc spread the application, stating that the elections were followed with massive distribution of pre electoral bribes, illegal gathering of passports and national identification cards, inactivity of law- enforcement officials. Besides, as the application's authors think, a terror was observed towards people during the elections, using administrative resource and implementing crime for massive pressure to citizens' will expression. "Artificial gathering of people was observed at the polling stations, which is against the points of the current legislation. Besides, the principle of secret voting was also violated, including open and controlling voting using colored and numbered papers. Repeated voting cases were also observed, violence to journalists, proxies and observers. "ANC-PPA bloc made a decision to appeal the results of parliamentary elections. At that, the bloc intends to submit a Constitutional Case with a request on declaring the elections illegal", the statement reads.
To note, according to CEC data 1 mln 575 thousand citizens (60.93%)from 2. 587.706 took part in the elections. The Parliament will have 105 lawmakers. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia receives 58 mandates, three from which representatives of national minorities(Assyrian, Kurds and Yezid), Tsaroukyan bloc 31 mandates, 1 representative from Russian community, Yelk-9, ARFD Dashnaktsutyun 7 mandates. Pre electoral bloc ANC-PPA did not enter the Parliament, as it received only 1.65% votes.
