According to the information shared with ArmInfo at the press office of NKR Foreign Ministry, this was stated by Karen Mirzoyan, the Artsakh Foreign Minister, while delivering a speech at the event on Caucasus Sustainability and Safety, Situation in Nagorno Karabakh, initiated by the Mediterranean Region and Islam Studies Center and ARF Dashnaktsuyun Hay Dat office.
In this context Mirzoyan mentioned, that Azerbaijan behavior, especially in recent times, is aimed at the escalation of the situation, and total absence of any wish to reach the final andpeaceful solution of the conflict state the fact that Azerbaijan, having a purpose toobtain political benefits, is ready to make radical steps up to resuming combat actions which has already taken place in April 2016.
The Minister accentuated that it is only thanks to respond actions of Artsakh Defense army that the aggression could be stopped and Azerbaijan was maid to observe the cease fire. " This shows how important is Artsakh role in the integral regional safety. The April aggression caused doubts in respect to peaceful solution prospective. I am sure that under existing conditions the first priority should be the preconditions setting to resume the negotiations process, full recovery of cease fire set by 1994 and 1995 Agreementsm and immediate implementation of agreements reached on may 16, 2016 in Vienna and on June 20, 2016 in St.Petersburg," Mirzoyan said.
Presenting the processes of state developments in Artsakh, the Foreign Minister stated that democratic development of Artsakh state is a non-regressive process, and the brightest example of that is the adoption of new constitution on February 20, 2017. According to him, despite any challenges standing in front of the Republic, Artsakh will not turn from the democratic way and will continue its struggle.
