ArmInfo. The Presidents of Armenia and Russia, Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin respectively, discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during their meeting in Moscow.
"Russia continues to render all possible assistance to the search for mutually acceptable solutions to the conflict, both within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, and through direct contacts with Yerevan and Bacu", Putin said at a press conference after talks with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
In his turn, Sargsyan noted that during the meeting with the Russian side, special attention was paid to the Karabakh settlement, creation of the necessary conditions for the promotion of the negotiation process. "We highly appreciate the contribution of Russia, as well as other countries of the OSCE MG Co-Chairs, to an exclusively peaceful settlement of the problem. During the talks, the importance of adherence to the trilateral cease-fire agreements of 1994-95 was again stressed. The need to implement the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements was noted. We are united in the opinion that the threat of force or its use is absolutely unacceptable and damages the peace process", Sargsyan resumed.
