ArmInfo. After the losses suffered near Akna and Martuni settlements, where the adversary left 5 servicemen's bodies in the neutral territory, it seemed that the Azeri side would make the relevant conclusions and would abstain from artificial escalation of the situation, Spokesman for the Defense Army of Artsakh Senor Hasratyan says on his Facebook page.
"However, committed to its traditions, the Azeri side not only continues to feed its society with lies by saying that the Azeri troops have allegedly shot down an Armenian drone and have destroyed a permanent fire position, but also uses divisional guns and mortars along the line of contact with the Artsakh troops. So, the common sense suggests that we deal with an adversary, which is not only mean and unhinged from the reality (we made sure of it long ago), but it also lacks any respect for its own fatalities," Hasratyan says.
To recall, on Feb 25 night the Azeri armed forces attempted to mount attacks on the southeastern (Martuni) and eastern (Akna) sections of the line of contact with the Artsakh troops by using special equipment and devices for demining.
Due to the video surveillance devices, the forward detachments of the Defense Army of Artsakh fixed the advancement of the Azeri troops in both directions and made the adversary retreat. The latter retreated, suffering losses. At least two Azeri servicemen were wounded and the bodies of several Azeri servicemen are in the neutral zone. The Artsakh side suffered no losses.
