ArmInfo. French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier  Decottignies visited the strategically important region of the country - Vayots Dzor region, located near the border, on April 18.

ArmInfo. In 2024, specialists of the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise in Armenia demined and cleared 91,948 square meters of hazardous territory from explosive ordnance. This is stated in the report of the Center, which  summed up the results of the work last year.

ArmInfo. The Chairman of the RA National Assembly Alen Simonyan is currently on a working visit to the Vayots Dzor region.  "I visited Jermuk and had the opportunity to learn about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, local security challenges and issues impacting our fellow citizens," the speaker wrote on his Facebook page, along with relevant photos.  Prior to Jermuk, Simonyan also visited the Noravank monastery complex.

ArmInfo.Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Vayots Dzor region and attended the opening  ceremony of the regional medical center.

The Office of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, who heads the Armenian commission for  delimiting the border with Azerbaijan, told the RFE/RL's Armenian Service that Azerbaijan refuses to accept that it keeps the territory of 31 non-enclave settlements of Armenia under occupation, actually confirming that Baku demands the "return" of 4 villages, not wanting to leave the Armenian territories.

ArmInfo.Opening a current account in Armenian banks for citizens forcibly displaced from  Artsakh will be free of charge. This was announced by spokesperson of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nazeli Baghdasaryan at a briefing on October 2.
