The Permanent Mission of Armenia to the UN, together with the Permanent Mission of Djibouti and the UN Office for the Prevention of Genocide and the Responsibility to Protect (OSAPG), organized an event entitled "Partnerships for Integrating Preventive Mechanisms into Peacebuilding: From Policy to Practice." ArmInfo.On May 20, 2026, the Resolution “The Role and Importance of a Policy of Neutrality in Maintaining and Strengthening International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development” was unanimously adopted during the 82^nd plenary meeting of the 80^th session of the UN General Assembly.

ArmInfo. Armenia abstained from voting on the UN General Assembly resolution supporting peace in Ukraine, according to data published on the UN website.

ArmInfo. At a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved an Action Plan for preparations to hold the Year of International Law in 2028. This initiative, previously put forward by the head of state from the rostrum of the United Nations, is intended to strengthen the legal foundations of global peace and security.

ArmInfo. The development and implementation of international law, global and regional multilateral systems, and human rights protection instruments have not led to the  effective prevention of genocides and mass crimes, while  technological progress and the development of warfare and weaponry  have not reduced the number of civilian casualties. This was stated  by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisogomonyan at the event  "Early Warning and Early Response to Prevent Genocide and Mass  Crimes: Strengthening the Global Partnership." 

ArmInfo.  Armenia is among 165 countries that supported the UN General Assembly resolution calling for an end to the economic, commercial, and financial embargo against Cuba.

ArmInfo.  On October 14, 2025, in New York, during during the 18^th plenary meeting of the 80^th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Resolution “Avaza Political Declaration” was viewed and unanimously adopted.  

ArmInfo.On October 16, in Kampala, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisogomonyan participated and delivered remarks at the 19th Midterm Ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement.

At the 80th session of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly, under agenda item 67, "Promotion and Protection of the Rights of the Child," the  Armenian delegation reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to fulfilling its  international obligations and strengthening national systems to  ensure the full and effective protection of children's rights. This  was reported by the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the UN.

ArmInfo.On September 30, 2025, a conference entitled “International Cooperation: A Guarantee for Strengthening Peace and Sustainable Development” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

ArmInfo.Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga agreed to further develop bilateral relations. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the meeting took place on the sidelines  of the Warsaw Security Forum.
