ArmInfo.Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II will eventually be forced to vacate the patriarchal throne, as stated by the speaker of the Armenian parliament, Alen Simonyan, in a conversation with journalists on July 1.

ArmInfo. The arrested archbishops Mikael Ajapakhyan and Bagrat Galstanyan are sitting in the same cell at the Yerevan-Kentron penitentiary. The information was confirmed by lawyer Ara Zohrabyan at a press conference on June 30.

ArmInfo.  The advocacy group explained why the head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhian, refused to put forward his candidacy for the post of prime minister. Any word spoken  is used against the archbishop, lawyer Ara Zohrabyan said at an  urgent press conference on June 30.

ArmInfo. On the morning of June 28, the Yerevan Court of Primary Instance made a decision to arrest Archbishop Mikael Ajapahian, the Primate of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, for a period of two months. Ara Zohrabyan, a member of the Archbishop's Defense Group, informed journalists about this decision.

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has set another anti-record, with only 8.2%  of respondents  completely satisfied with his work compared to 9% percent in February of this year.

ArmInfo. This morning, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has already managed to make three posts on his Facebook page, in which he called the first president of Armenia  Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II a  - his first post says.

ArmInfo.  The leader of the "Sacred Struggle" protest movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, has been arrested for two months. The decision to this effect was made by  the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction late yesterday evening.  Galstanyan's lawyer, Hovhannes Khudoyan, informed journalists about  the court's decision.

ArmInfo. The Sacred Struggle movement has named 12 out of the 14 detained citizens.  Specifically,  those detained include Bagrat Galstanyan, Karo Okumushyan, Tigran Topalyan, Tigran Galstyan, David Galstyan, Mihran Makhsudyan, Deacon Hrayr Hakobyan, Aghasi Arshakyan, Igor Sargsyan, Ara Rostomyan, Armen  Aleksanyan, and Movses Sharbatyan.  

ArmInfo. "The Initiative of Five Human Rights Defenders" is working at the sites of searches of opposition figures' homes by security forces. This is stated in the  initiative's statement.

ArmInfo. Another stage of repressions has begun in Armenia. This was stated to journalists on June 25 by Garnik Danielyan, a member of the National Assembly of the  Republic of Armenia from the opposition faction "Armenia", commenting  on the searches that had begun in the houses and apartments of  supporters of the "Sacred Struggle" movement and members of the ARF  "Dashnaktsutyun" party. 

ArmInfo. Law enforcement agencies have prevented a large and vile plan to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Armenia and seize  power.  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his  Facebook page, disseminating a message from the Investigative  Committee of Armenia. 

ArmInfo. Following the searches in the houses and apartments of the supporters of the "Sacred Struggle" movement, law enforcement officers of Armenia "came" to the  representatives of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party. This is stated in  the party's statement.

In the afternoon, several dozen citizens with opposition views and representing various  political forces and groups were arrested and taken to police stations in Yerevan and other regions of the country.
