ArmInfo.  Below is a Joint Statement of the United States of America, the Republic of Armenia,  and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the One-Year Anniversary of the  White House Peace Summit. 

ArmInfo.  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.

ArmInfo.  Over the past year, the authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan have taken important and bold steps to make peace tangible for their peoples.

ArmInfo. Not all the problems have been resolved yet, but peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been established. This message was issued by Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan on his Facebook page on August 8, the day the joint "Declaration of Peace" between Armenia and Azerbaijan was signed in Washington.

ArmInfo.  August 8, 2025, is a milestone, and the history of the Republic of Armenia can be divided into the period before and after it. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered this message on his Facebook page on August 8, the day the joint "Declaration of Peace" between Armenia and  Azerbaijan was signed in Washington.

ArmInfo. On August 5, 2026, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation – which currently holds the chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

ArmInfo. Azerbaijan is fulfilling its obligations regarding the reopening of transport and communication links with Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Swiss Federal  Councillor, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, and  OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ignazio Cassis, APA reports.

ArmInfo.  Switzerland welcomes the progress made towards peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the political will demonstrated by both sides to overcome the  conflict, which has caused suffering for many years. Ignazio Cassis,  Member of the Swiss Federal Council and Head of the Federal  Department of Foreign Affairs, and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, stated  this in an interview with the state news agency AzerTac.

ArmInfo. Christian Solidarity International (CSI) joined Armenian and European human rights  organizations in condemning comments by OSCE Secretary General  Feridun Sinirlioglu, which appeared to express support for the  Armenian government's removal of the Catholicos of All Armenians and  head of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), Karekin II.

ArmInfo. Armenia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Andranik Hovhannisyan, and the newly appointed Head of the US Mission to the OSCE, Darrell Owens, have exchanged views on the agenda of Armenian-American relations.

ArmInfo. In the second quarter of 2026, 42 cases of violations of the rights of journalists and mass media outlets were recorded. According to a report received by ArmInfo, this is stated in the Q2 2026 report by the Committee to  Protect Freedom of Expression.

ArmInfo.The situation in the South Caucasus is set to be one of the key items on the agenda during talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov. Lavrov announced this as he opened negotiations with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, who has  arrived in Moscow for an official visit.

ArmInfo. The Armenian government adopted a draft law ratifying the Framework Agreement on  Strategic Partnership for the Implementation of TRIPP (Trump Route  for International Peace and Prosperity). This decision was approved  at a government meeting on July 16.

ArmInfo.  Key international players supported Artsakh's right to self-determination, but the government of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan effectively  rejected this approach and handed Artsakh over to Azerbaijan. This  was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the Armenian parliament  from the opposition "I Have the Honor" faction.

ArmInfo.  The U.S. E,nassy in Armenia has posted the following message on its Facebook account:

Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, has accused the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) of  allegedly supporting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's administration  in its efforts to undermine the Church and the political opposition  over the past year.

ArmInfo. Lilit Galstian, an MP from the opposition Armenia faction and a member of the Armenian delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, has sharply criticized the selective application of international law and the international community's inaction regarding Azerbaijan's aggression against  Artsakh.

ArmInfo. OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu has reportedly pledged to assist Armenian authorities in removing Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.  This promise was made during a telephone conversation that he believed was with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

ArmInfo.  The potential risks and threats of the American presence on Iran's borders as part of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project  must be fully assessed. Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Khalil  Shirgolami stated this at a press conference in Yerevan on July 8.

ArmInfo.  Sargis Khandanyan, Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Committee on Foreign Relations and Head of the NA Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly  of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA),  has been re-elected as Chair of the OSCE PA Committee on Democracy,  Human Rights, and Humanitarian Aid. The Armenian parliament's press  service reported this.
