ArmInfo.A seismic shift in Armenia's foreign policy that has seen it forge closer relations with  the European Union is not a threat to Moscow, the country's ambassador in Brussels insisted amid increasingly tense relations with the Kremlin.

ArmInfo.The head of the Armenian government unilaterally cedes to Azerbaijan such  territories in the Tavush region that undermine the security and the rights of the population of  those territories. This statement was made by the Tatoyan Foundation, which is headed by ex-Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan.

ArmInfo.Russia still considers Armenia its ally. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated in an interview with Sputnik, Moscow Speaks and Komsomolskaya Pravda radio stations in response to a request to tell how things stand in relations with Armenia.

At a meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments of the CIS countries in a narrow format, the issue of interference of external forces in the affairs of the Commonwealth countries was raised. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on April 12 in Minsk at a press conference following a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in response to the question whether the topic of interference by external forces in the affairs of the Commonwealth countries was discussed at today's meeting.

ArmInfo.The situation created in Armenian-Russian relations does not inspire optimism due to the  position of the Armenian leadership, which deliberately destroys relations with Russia. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on March 28 in an interview with Izvestia.

ArmInfo.The upcoming Armenia-EU-U.S. meeting has caused concern in Russia, as the U.S. and  the EU openly talk about the anti-Russian orientation of Armenia, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

RA Security  Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan told reporters on March 6, commenting on the statement of Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov that Yerevan should determine its positionon the issue of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

ArmInfo.Currently, Russian President Vladimir Putin does not have any talks with Armenian Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his schedule, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a briefing on March 4 in response to a question about whether contacts between Putin and Pashinyan are not  planned due to the latest statements by the Armenian side about the country's status in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

ArmInfo.  Refusal to stay in the CSTO and lowering the bar of relations with Russia will have  consequences for Armenia, opposition Armenian MP Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook page, commenting on the statement of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that Yerevan must make a clear  decision: whether the republic remains in the CSTO or leaves it.
