ArmInfo. The European Union isn't simply trying to change governments in other countries through clandestine means, but is proud of its own methods. This was stated  by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, commenting on a letter  from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to Armenian  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as reported by Russian media.

"The West is trying to tear  our allies away from us, starting primarily with our neighbors—just  as it did with Georgia and Moldova, as it is currently doing with  Ukraine, and as it is now attempting to drag Armenia into that same  flawed logic," Lavrov said.

"I think that Russia, like any country, acts in accordance with its own interests. If tomorrow these interests dictate that they take certain steps, they won't think twice about it." He stated this in an interview with Ekaterina Kotrikadze, the head of the news service and anchor for the Dozhd TV channel, which is opposed to the Russian government and is based in exile.
